John Davey

John is a native Californian and a trusted member of the CheapInsurance.com team since 1998. 

With over two decades of experience, John has been instrumental in designing and supporting information systems across the company’s regional offices in California.

His expertise in technology spans from the early days of DOS, Windows 3.11, Netware, and Linux, to modern systems. 

John has designed and implemented wide area networks, developed custom Linux and Microsoft solutions, and created innovative tools like a custom document management system. He even designed CheapInsurance.com’s very first website in 1998.

John’s profound knowledge extends to insurance industry tools, including comparative quoting systems, agency management systems, and cloud-based virtual systems. 

His experience with insurance carrier integrations ensures seamless operations and efficient workflows.

Before joining CheapInsurance.com, John worked for national companies TRW, Georgia Pacific, and PRIDE Industries. 

He excelled as a Division Manager, overseeing logistics contracts with notable companies such as Hewlett-Packard, NEC, and Toshiba. 

John’s dedication led him to design and develop a custom inventory management system, contributing to the success of the Logistics Division.

Outside of work, John is actively involved in his community. He serves as the president on the board of directors of a local non-profit organization and chairs his community’s Area Planning Advisory Committee, which received recognition as the District 1 volunteers of the year in 2018. 

Additionally, John volunteers on various committees, including the Master Plan Advisory Committee for the local Fire Department and the Fire Department’s annual Santa Run toy/food drive. 

He also contributes his expertise to several community advisory committees within the Community Services District.
