Top Cars of 2017 That You Should Know About

Friday, February 10, 2017

Cars have long been apart of America’s history and tradition. There are cars out there for everyone.

If you are starting a family or already have multiple kids, then a minivan might be a great option. Live in the country? Haul livestock? You might be interested in a truck. Are you trying to go gas-less? Then try an electric car.  But for the average person, commuting, raising a family and trying to be economically conscious, you are probably looking for a sedan.

2017 is ready to show us the best cars that we have yet to see. We all need to get somewhere. Whether it’s to work, or a long road trip, American’s spend a ton of time in their cars.  We want it all! There are many factors we think about when wanting to buy a car: cost, fuel efficiency, and how it looks. Plus many, many more.

After doing some research, I have found a few great cars coming out in 2017 that give you a little bit of everything. These newer cars may cost you a little more when searching for car insurance. But they will save you huge in other ways.

TOP FIVE CARS OF 2017:

The 2017 Honda Accord- This mid-sized sedan has been around for a long time, and it has come so far in design and style. The only bad thing I have come across in my research is that it has a funky-looking, small trunk. Here is what the 2017 Accord has to offer you:

  • It gets 28-31 mpg on the highway
  • The U.S. News and review ranked it an 8.7/10
  • The median price is around $25,000
  • It comfortably seats five and is very roomie
  • It has an optional v6 engine
  • And it’s nice to look at!  This car has a sleek look that is stylish yet traditional

The 2017 Chevy Malibu- This car ranks number 1 by News & Review. This larger mid-size car is not as fancy as some others that may be listed. But it has ranked very high for being safe and reliable. Here is what it offers:

  • 33-36 mpg on the highway
  • A very large interior, sitting 5 people with plenty of space leftover
  • It is a comfortable, smooth ride
  • Has a 9 speed automatic transmission instead of an 8 speed
  • Will cost you a median price of around $23,000

The 2017 Nissan Maxima- This car is categorized as more of a large sedan than a mid-sized one.  It has more sports car qualities to it’s style this year, and with the two toned leather seats inside, it screams luxury.  The only issue one might have is that it requires Premium gas which may cost you more. Here is what is has to offer:

  • 30 mpg on the highway
  • A price tag of $35,000  (a little more than it’s competitors)
  • A sturdy and standard V6 engine
  • Apple Play featured in every car
  • Smaller on the inside and more sporty looking than other sedans

The Acura RLX- Kelly Blue Book rated this sedan a 9.5/10! That is a great rating for a car that isn’t a BMW or Mercedes.  However this nicely rated car will cost you.  It is more expensive than the first three I listed, but here is why:

  • It has a V6 310 horsepower engine
  • It gets 30 mpg highway
  • It drives quiet and fast
  • It will cost you around $55,000
  • And it has a five-star safety rating

The 2017 Ford Fusion- This sedan might seem average on the outside, but the inside features are really great! It has a few different options for it’s engine, depending on what you think you might need. But either way, you will be riding in comfort on the inside. This car has is a little less fuel efficient than its competitors, and if you are trying to get cheap car insurance, this car insures for more than the average sedan.  But let’s see what it does have:

  • 325 horsepower
  • 26 mpg on the highway
  • a low price tag of only $23,000
  • a five star overall safety rating
  • a SYNC communications center

I only listed five cars, but there are many more to choose from. Depending on your budget 2017 is a great year for the car.  We have come milestones with technology and safety testing for cars and trucks.  The main reason that I chose these five cars is because they are already very popular.  These brands are well known, and you should be able to have a sneak peak into why.

I did leave off the Toyota Camry, which in itself is a great car.  But Toyota is at the forefront of Hybrid and Electric cars, which puts them in a bit of a different category. The Camry is one of the best cars on the market, but when you want more style and luxury, these five listed here are where it’s at. There are also many amazing cross-overs which serve a similar purpose as a sedan.  You may not be able to get the cheap car insurance you want unless you are a good driver and choose the right vehicle.

Driving is a privilege. But with these sedans, it could be a luxury.
