sacramento ISE

This coming weekend, January 9-12, Cal Expo is hosting the International Sportsmen’s Expo. Billed as “California’s largest collection of fishing, hunting and outdoor products, sportfishing boats and travel destinations,” the event, which has a 38 year history, draws crowds of up to 30,000 sportsmen and fisherman every year.

Attendees can shop for a range of outdoor products including boats, hunting/fishing gear, camping gear, etc., from over 200 retailers.

Events include archery competitions, fly-fishing tutorials, sporting-dog demonstrations, an ATV test-track, live raptor displays, shooting ranges, fly-tying tutorials, and many more. There is even a catch-and-release pond where you can try out your newly purchased fishing gear!

If you love the outdoors, but don’t want to brave the cold this weekend, this is definitely your best bet. It sounds like a blast, and is extremely family-friendly.

Tickets are $15, unless you are under 16 or active military (with ID).

Details can be found here.

Don’t live near Sacramento? The ISE has upcoming events in Denver, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City.

And, if you happen to buy a boat this weekend, or any other personal watercraft, remember that we don’t just sell car insurance. Give us a call for a boat insurance quote, or better yet, get one from our website!
