I used to love to play a game called Connect the Dots when I was a kid. The object of the game was to connect all the dots and identify the picture that the connected dots made up. It was a fairly simple game and that’s why I liked it so much. When it comes to SR Insurance and ethnicity, it is not so simple to connect the dots. Actually, finding any dots to connect is hard, almost as hard as finding cheap SR22 insurance.
Demographics of SR22 Insurance
Since the guidelines and rules for SR22 varies from state to state it was difficult to find any kind of national information on the subject. However, Baby Boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964) make up a sizable part of those who need SR22. This could be because there are so many of them still around or because they are getting older and drive more erratic. Close behind and quickly passing the Baby Boomers are the Echo Boomers, also know as Generation Y. This younger group, born in the last 2 decades of the 20th century, is as large or larger than the baby boomers. These sixteen to forty-five year olds like to party and drive while texting, causing more DUI’s and reckless driving cases which requires cheap SR22 insurance.
Dealing with ethnicity and SR22 Insurance
While expecting to find information on this, I was pleased that there was little to none available. That tells me the insurance companies are doing what they are required to do by law. It is unlawful to discriminate against a consumer by using ethnicity, gender, income, age or race as a reason to deny or cancel an insurance policy. Every state that requires SR22 insurance is required to follow these federal laws. There does not appear to be any correlation to minorities being required to have this kind of insurance over others. If you feel an insurance agent or company has discriminated against you, you should file a complaint with your state’s Department of Insurance Fraud.
When it comes to cheap SR22 insurance you will need to search around with various companies. This type of insurance is required for Driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving while your license is suspended. Each individual state has their own list of reasons for SR22 insurance. Basically, if you do the crime then plan on paying the price. There are consequences to our actions.
